We are planning a trip to Tioman Islands next month. Can anybody share their experience - which travel agent to contact, which hotel to stay, what all places to visit?

I went to Tioman a few years back. We stayed on one of the smaller beaches called ABC. The village was tiny - one road ran through it, where the road was broad enough for a motorcycle. If you're looking at a really laid back time by the beach, definitely consider this. However, I'll recommend you try out Salang, which I think is the more posh, has better resorts, more food options, etc. There would be places where you can take a guided snorkeling tour in the shallow waters. The central part of the island is hilly, and you can take hikes up the hill in the morning. You can also rent bicycles, and go on trails... Have fun!
